Located in Panama’s mountains, Boquete is known for its climate as well as its coffee but it is now emerging as an activity-filled destination. Check out one of the famous coffee tours, zip through the forest on a canopy tour, hike the Quetzal Trail to the continental divide or to the top of Panama's highest mountain, Volcan Baru. From here you may catch a view of both oceans! Other options include rafting in the rainy (green) season or kayaking in the summer, horseback riding and rock climbing. Above all, but be sure to take a dip in the Rio Chiriqui and the hot springs and visit the Paradise Gardens animal refuge. That still leaves the wildflowers, strawberries, waterfalls, great restaurants, relaxing evenings by the fire and even golf.
